Buon compleanno, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum! Al via la prima mostra curata dagli artisti

Non era mai accaduto prima d'ora, nell'arco dei 60 anni di storia del museo progettato da Frank Lloyd Wright: aperta fino al 12 gennaio 2020, la mostra "Artistic License: Six Takes on the Guggenheim Collection" è la prima curata direttamente dagli artisti all'interno dell'istituzione museale. L'incarico è stato condiviso da Cai Guo-Qiang, Paul Chan, Jenny Holzer, Julie Mehretu, Richard Prince e Carrie Mae Weems, che in questo progetto espositivo hanno scelto quali "punti salienti" della collezione permanente presentare, concedendo un'importante occasione di visibilità anche a una serie di opere raramente esposte.
