Le utopiche città-sculture di Bodys Isek Kingelez conquistano New York

Fino all’1 gennaio 2019, le Philip Johnson Galleries del MoMA ospitano una retrospettiva dedicata al visionario artista Bodys Isek Kingelez. Originario della Repubblica Democratica del Congo e scomparso nel 2015, ha realizzato sculture di edifici immaginari e maquette di città che riflettevano i sogni per il suo Paese, per il continente africano e per il pianeta intero. La mostra, che si avvale di un allestimento al quale ha collaborato anche l'artista Carsten Höller, costituisce la prima monografica americana per l'artista.
