C'è tempo fino al 3 febbraio per visitare la mostra "Rachel Maclean: The Lion and The Unicorn", che nella cornice della National Gallery di Londra riunisce opere dell'artista multimediale originaria di Edimburgo. Annoverata tra le voci più acute e satiriche della scena britannica contemporanea, Maclean esplora il tema dell'identità, tra la dimensione collettiva e quella individuale, attraverso maschere elaborate, protesi grottesche e scenografie sgargianti. La mostra, in particolare, si concentra su un suo lavoro cinematografico del 2012, nel quale ha fatto luce, in modo irriverente, sulle complesse relazioni tra Scozia e Inghilterra. In Italia, in occasione della Biennale d’Arte di Venezia del 2017, l'artista si è fatta conoscere per "Spite Your Face", un mediometraggio animato nel quale il suo linguaggio, caustico e inconsueto, è diventato funzionale a una personale rielaborazione di Pinocchio.
