Bisognerà attendere dicembre - i giorni dal 4 al 6, per la precisione - per conoscere quali edifici si aggiudicheranno gli annuali riconoscimenti del World Architecture Festival, il più grande programma competitivo del settore architettura. Scorrendo la lista dei progetti in lizza, come di consueto gli studi di maggiore rilievo del panorama internazionale, come Zaha Hadid Architects, Heatherwick Studio, Bjarke Ingels Group, Rafael Vinoly Architects, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, Grimshaw e White Arkitekter, sono affiancati da realtà emergenti. Realizzati in una settantina di stati, gli interventi sui quali dovrà esprimersi la giuria sono oltre 530, selezionati a partire dalle oltre mille candidature pervenute. Cina e Hong Kong, Australia, Regno Unito, Stati Uniti e India sono i Paesi con il maggior numero di progetti in corsa.
