Il “teatro” di Adriàn Villar Rojas sul tetto del Metropolitan

Non è certo la prima volta che il tetto del Metropolitan Museum of Art, lungo la Fifth Avenue, viene elevato a spazio espositivo. Il talentuoso 37enne argentino Adrián Villar Rojas, che nei giorni scorsi ha inaugurato la grande installazione 'The Theater of Disappearance', è però il più giovane artista a raggiungere la vetta del Roof Garden. Attingendo alla vasta collezione del Met e ripercorrendo il processo di genesi relativo a questo stesso progetto, Villar Rojas ha selezionato 100 opere d'arte e le ha riprodotte con tecniche di stampa 3D. Icone del design, maschere egizie, sculture orientali, statue classiche, armi, teste africane e ulteriori testimonianze dell'arte di tutto il mondo sono quindi state riassemblate, generando una successione di folli e inediti allestimenti sul tetto-terrazzo.
