Londra, alla Royal Academy of Arts una grande mostra sull’architettura di Renzo Piano

Fino al 20 gennaio 2019, i nuovi spazi delle Gabrielle Jungels-Winkler Galleries. alla Royal Academy of Arts di Londra, ospiteranno la retrospettiva "Renzo Piano. The Art of Making Buildings". Promossa in occasione del 250° anniversario della Royal Academy, la mostra ripercorrere il processo di progettazione e di realizzazione di 16 tra i più significativi interventi dell’architetto genovese e del suo studio. Tra gli interventi presi in esami ci sono il Centro culturale Jean-Marie Tjibaou di Nouméa (1998), la sede del New York Times (2007) e il Whitney Museum of American Art (2015), entrambi a New York, The Shard a Londra (2012) e la Jérôme Seydoux Pathé Foundation a Parigi (2014). "Questa mostra ha lo scopo di mostrare come costruire edifici sia un gesto civico e una responsabilità sociale. Credo fermamente che l’architettura sia un luogo in cui le persone possano incontrarsi e condividere valori", ha commentato il progettista di fama mondiale.
