Sono state realizzate da oltre 60 illustri artisti internazionali, provenienti Argentina, Cina, Francia, Germania, Italia, Giappone, Paesi Bassi, Spagna, Svezia, Regno Unito, Stati Uniti e Arabia Saudita, le opere presentate in occasione del Noor Riyadh Festival of Light and Art, l'evento di arte pubblica e contemporanea inaugurato da pochi giorni nella capitale saudita. In programma fino al 12 giugno, include diversi appuntamenti (con specifici periodi di apertura), fra cui l'esposizione "Light Upon Light: Light Art Since the 1960s": allestita presso il centro conferenze KAFD (King Abdullah Financial District) di Riyadh, è una grande retrospettiva con opere di light art realizzate da 30 autori. Tema guida dell'evento è "Under One Sky", cui è associato un messaggio di speranza. "Noor Riyadh è una celebrazione della luce e dell'arte su una scala senza pari. L'arte è un linguaggio universale e la luce è un simbolo di speranza e, in questi tempi difficili, mi auguro che questo festival sia come un faro per il mondo e che illumini il nostro cammino verso un futuro più radioso riflettendo il nostro tema 'Under One Sky'", ha auspicato Khaled Al-Hazani, direttore di Riyadh Art. In giro per la città sono state allestite oltre trenta installazioni, fra cui sculture, proiezioni, spettacoli interattivi, opere cinetiche e immersive collocate negli spazi urbani. Previste, infine, oltre 270 attività collaterali: tour, conferenze, workshop, eventi per famiglie, proiezioni di film e musica, veicolati anche online in nome di una maggiore fruibilità del festival.
