A partire dal 7 maggio prossimo il Philadelphia Museum of Art aprirà al pubblico in una veste profondamente rinnovata: sono stati infatti ultimati tutti gli interventi del vasto progetto di ristrutturazione e ampliamento affidato nel 2006 all'architetto Frank Gehry, che in questo caso ha scelto di rispettare e accentuare le peculiarità dell'esistente edificio museale, risalente al 1928.Correva l'anno 2006 quando il Philadelphia Museum of Art sceglieva l'architetto Frank O. AFTER: Staircases are a signature feature of Frank Gehry’s design. Part of the challenge for the architect was to use a light touch, ensuring that the museum’s history is preserved, yet brought into the present day.
